Auto Maintenance FAQs

For a long time and sometimes still today, standard practice at many lube shops is to suggest oil changes every three months or 3,000 miles. In order to know when the best time to get your oil changed is, check the owner’s manual of your specific model for manufacturer-recommended intervals.
A: Yes you should! Always change your oil, transmission fluid, coolant & brake fluid at the manufactures suggested intervals! When having your leased vehicle serviced at D&M Automotive we make sure to do a multi point inspection to notify you of any other potential issues.
A: The short answer is between 60k - 100k miles but please refer to your manufactures vehicle manual or gives us a call and we can check it for you!
A: This is a great question! Most of the time, depending on how long the battery was discharged you can drive it after a jump start at normal speeds for about 20 mins and regain a full charge. That being said, trickle charging it over night is a great way to get the full charge back.
A: You should have your brakes checked about every 10,000 miles. If your brakes start making noise please bring them into use ASAP as this could lead to very expensive repair bills if left untreated.
